This cherished landmark building, built in 1795 and restored in 1972, is home to town meetings and events, including the Robbie Collomore Concert Series and the Meeting House Players. Permission for private use may be obtained by contacting the Selectman's office.

State Forest. Lakes and Ferry Boat

Cedar Lake
Bordered by Cockaponsett State Forest on the northeast, this 75-acre lake has a public beach on Route 148 to the southeast. A public, state-owned boat launch is located at the northern end. Fishing season begins on the third Saturday in April and ends on the last day of February. Info: 860-526-0013

Pattaconk Lake. Enjoy swimming, fishing, mountain biking, hiking and cross country skiing, in CT's second largest state forest. The forest recreation areas are open from 8 am to sunset. Other areas are open 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. Info: 860-663-2030
