This was the Lineup for 2012

The 22nd Annual Winter Carnivale, Art Gallery Opening Receptions and Ice Carving Competition in Chester Center will be on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Please join us on Sunday, February 19th, as Chester celebrates its 22nd Annual Winter Carnivale from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Chester center rain, snow or shine. Free. There will be food by local restaurants and street performers in the town center. The ice carving competition will take place from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Main Street with judging shortly after. Spectators may vote for their favorite sculpture to win the "People's Choice Award." Carvers, Click here for Registration form.

The "Chilly Chili Cook Off" will be held at the Chester Hose Company Fire House, 6 High Street, from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Chester Hose Company. Contact 203-507-7415 for more information. Attendees can purchase tickets at the door for $5.00, which allows them to taste all the wonderful chili and vote for their favorite. And last but not least, festively decorated tractors will parade up and down Main Street beginning at 2:00 p.m. at North Quarter Park, in the highly anticipated Chester Tractor Parade. Contact 860-526-2880 for more information. Iron Steed Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place best decorated tractors. Tractors can be dangerous. Please keep children on the sidewalks. Parking is available at the Maple Street and Water Street lots. Courtesy shuttle bus into town from commuter lot at exit 6.

Bring the kids and "kids at heart" for some whimsical facepainting to get you in the Carnivale spirit at rachelryansfitness, 15 North Main, a few doors up from C&G.

Maple & Main Gallery
1 Maple St.
Join Maple & Main Gallery during the Winter Carnival when a special display of paintings of antique tractors by artist Paul Baldassini will be on display. Face painting for children will be done by artist Carole Johnson and food and drink will be offered. The new Winter Show of over 200 works will be installed and will include “Summer Dreams,” in the lower gallery. These paintings will all have a floral and garden theme to brighten the winter doldrums.
Gallery hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
